Pointillism Portrait - Hand drawn custom portrait in pen and ink

These hand drawn bespoke portraits are sure to bring a tear to your eye, capturing the essence of your loved ones and beloved friends. These portraits are hand drawn in a pointillism style, created with just pen and ink, dot by dot. Each original portrait comes with a certificate of authenticity and will be wrapped flat, or if you’d like to have it framed, please get in touch.

Due to my technique and the time it takes to create each portrait, I tend to base my portraits from photographs or videos rather than life, so feel free to email your photos and any reference pictures you’d like to include. If you have a project in mind, I’d be more than happy to discuss any ideas or collaborations that might require working from life.

Depending on the size of the portrait, it can take anywhere from 3 weeks to 2 months to finish a portrait so if you'd like to order for a specific occasion or date please order as soon as possible.

The background and the crop of the portrait will be up to the artists discretion, so please be aware that depending on the photo or style of the portrait, a background may be included, altered or left white to provide more visual impact. However, if you would like to request or have an idea in mind, feel free to get in touch.

If you would like multiple people or pets, I would recommend an A3 portrait (30 x 42 cm) or A4 larger as I can add more detail and create a more lifelike depiction without loosing any likeness. If you’d like a larger size or a specific size to fit a wall space, feel free to get in touch and I can provide a price and time estimate.

Limited edition prints are available on request, which make the perfect sentimental gifts for family members or close loved ones to share the unique piece of art for a fraction of the cost – please note that once the portrait is finished, the artist holds copyright to the finished piece and has the right to use the portrait for marketing purposes, unless requested otherwise.

If ordering limited edition prints, I would recommend ordering the same size as the original piece, however, it is your choice and a number of sizes are available.
