Bio

Amy Jackson is a freelance illustrator currently living in Swansea, Wales. She grew up in Swansea, and studied art throughout her school years, despite her struggle with Selective Mutism. She studied an Art and Design Foundation Course at Llwyn-y-Bryn College in 2015, and attended Trinity Saint David’s University in 2016, and graduated with a BA (Hons) in Illustration, where she was highly commended for her On The Cards entry. From there, Amy took a year off studying and has been working as a freelance illustrator, focusing on building her portfolio.

Focusing on licensing and editorial illustration, she is very inspired by the world around her, often drawing upon social or environmental issues as she loves creating art and illustrations that convey a message or a cause. She specializes in a dot work or pointillism style, usually using pen and ink and a range of fine liners to create her work.

Amy has an online store where you can purchase prints and products of most of her designs. She also has a number of designs on Redbubble, Artwow and Society 6. She often has stalls at craft fairs and pop up shops, so keep an eye out for any upcoming events on her social media pages or to see past events, click here.
